Brenda Meredith Seymour was actually an illustrator, but she's credited with writing for Swift Annual 7 (1960), hence her inclusion here (I'll get around to illustrators eventually, honest). She also illustrated her contribution, a poem entitled 'Pets' and had earlier illustrated poems in two previous annuals (4, 1957, and 6, 1959), which makes me suspect she also wrote the accompanying verses.
A Google search turns up lots of copies of books but nothing in the way of information. Can't find anything in any other obvious resources... a truly mysterious lady.
Update: A relation of Brenda Meredith Seymour has posted a video about her life and career, which you can find here: https://www.facebook.com/johnny.black.9440/videos/3167715216656909
