Hi Jon,

Ferg's first story didn't appear until 1997 (#3102) and this list only cover the first 2000 issues. I'll expand it when I get a chance.

Wow – the George Low at interview on The List says Commando has a circulation of 8,000 copes per issue.

At first that seems precariously low, especially as there is no ad revenue.

But then I suppose there are also no ad guys to pay, no photographers either and not many more than three or four people involved per issue.

Doing the sums :- 8,000 x eight per month = a respectable 64,000.

I wonder how many people buy all eight each month. I certainly never see more than three or four on a rack in Smiths - and that's when there are any at all.

Scott,

The interviewer notes the figure as "a healthy 8000" although 8,000 doesn't sound that healthy to me. But Thomsons run a tight ship and I hope Commando can keep publishing new stories for as long as possible.
