Nicola Paton was back at the Old Grocery last weekend with her amazing needlefelted creations. We met Nicola a few years' ago and we marvel at her work every time she comes to Wivenhoe. What is even better is that she always has something new on display and her business is expanding into the creation of kits for visitors to buy and create their own aork.
The first kit was the simplest possible: a bee. You could buy a set of three bees, which Mel did. This time around I picked up a kit for a guinea pig (I'm a sucker for small, cute animals) on the understanding that Mel would make it as she has the dexterity and patience that I lack.
Perhaps next time she'll feel confident enough to tackle something even larger.
