Wednesday arrived with the promise of rain, more rain, and then some more rain, following on from the torrential downpours on Tuesday. Welcome to British summertime!
I had the second of a new programme of dental appointments yesterday (Thursday), which involved a small filling. The next one – next week – is going to be . . . interesting. They're going to attempt another filling but they're not sure if the decay is repairable or too close to the bone and nerve. I may have to have it out, but we shall just have to wait and see.
Random scans. Inspired by my dental appointment, it's Dracula day! Or, rather, Dracula for our column header and Bram Stoker for the following four titles, all published by Arrow Books. The artists are Sheldon (Dracula), Derek Stowe (Lair of the White Worm), Roger Hall (The Jewel of the Seven Stars) and the prolific Anonymous (The Lady of the Shroud).
We have more from Roger Perry next week.
