Gemma Bovery
For Posy Simmonds fans: Gemma Bovery is released in he UK on 21 August. It stars Gemma Arterton, who also played Tamara Drewe a few years ago, Fabrice Luchini, Jason Flemyng, Isabelle Candelier, Niels Schneider, Mel Raido and Elsa Zylberstein and is directed by Anne Fontaine. This French-British co-production debuted last year at the Toronto International Film Festival to mostly positive or mixed reviews (Metacritic gives it a score of 58 while Rotten Tomatoes rates it 50%).
Gemma Arterton is also appearing in another British comic-related movie next year when she appears in The Girl With All The Gifts, based on the novel by Mike Carey.
