The first strip presentation for 2013 ... and it's a cracker. This is an adaptation of Treasure Island by C. L. Doughty from 1977. Doughty is, of course, the artist featured in Pages From History and one of my favourite creators when it came to historical strips, whether it was fictionalised adventures of pirates, fictionalised adventures of real people like Dick Turpin, or adaptations of swashbuckling classics.
So batten down the hatches, raise the main sail and prepare to sing a shanty or two as we present...
