Here are the top selling annuals for week-ending 10 January (sales figures in brackets) with both The Official Doctor Who Annual and Beano Annual back in the charts, although they're the only two to make the Top 50 this week.35 The Beano Annual 2009 (5,792)

The Official Doctor Who Annual has now sold approximately 235,000 copies, some way behind the total sales of Disney's High School Musical Annual 2009, which has sold around 297,000 copies. I imagine the Beano isn't far behind -- probably over 200,000, which isn't far off sales for the past couple of years. These are figures from Neilsen BookScan, which gathers sales from many retail shops. I'm not sure if they include Amazon and all the supermarkets, which would add quite a few sales to the totals known.
