29 May. The announcement of the winners of the Eagle Awards 2012 has been overshadowed somewhat by the news that the awards handed out on Friday (25th May) would be the last Eagles to be awarded in association with the MCM Expo, who are launching their own awards in October. A story hinting at problems between Eagle Awards founder Mike Conroy and MCM Expo organisers had surfaced a week earlier. Neither Mike nor his daughter, Cassandra (Awards chair), attended the awards ceremony.
25 May. Comic Book Resources has a 47-page preview (not 48 as advertised) of the revamped CLiNT, which has just relaunched with three new strips, including the much-anticipated "Secret Service" by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons.
21 May. Neil Gaiman is amongst this year's Nebula winner's, for his hugely popular Doctor Who episode, "The Doctor's Wife".
20 May. The Last Days of Mars is an upcoming movie currently in pre-production that will be shot in Jordan and at Shepperton Studios from next month. The film is adapted by Clive Dawson from a short story by Sydney J. Bounds.
20 May. Lew Stringerhas revealed a few details of a new digital comic announced yesterday (Saturday 19 May) at the Kapow! Comic Convention in London. Behind the new project is David Lloyd and contributors will include Kyle Baker, John McCrea, Yishin Li, Mark Wheatley, David Hitchcock, Billy Tucci, Colleen Doran, David Leach and many others. The digital comic will debut in July and will run in volumes of seven issues, each volume costing £6.99 / $10.00 (or roughly £1 per issue).
20 May. Beryl the Peril (drawn in the classic style of Davy Law by artist Steve Bright) and Bully Beed and Chips (given a modern makeover by Wayne Thompson) return to the pages of The Dandy.
27 April. Alex Fitch's Panel Borders has been running a series of shows about British comics, starting with Comic Stamp, interviewing people about the recent Royal Mail releases; subsequent shows have included The art of Tom Gauld, Depicting the Personal with Simone Lia nad Josephine King, and Young graphic artists, Spring 2012 with Warwick Johnson Cadwell and Jennie Gyllblad.
27 April. A panel discuss the works of and working with Warren Ellis (podcast). You might also want to check out an earlier broadcast at Reality Check on Modern childrens comics, recorded at last year's Sci-Fi London Festival.

Graham Kibble-White, author of The Ultimate Book of British Comics, appeared on a not-for-TV edition of the BBC quiz Pointless - possibly the first comics-related appearance on a quiz show since David Bishop appeared on The Weakest Link, which was broadcast way back in May 2008. (Not counting Jonathan Ross...)

Kit Carter and his Clarks Commandos return in an all-new adventure. This series ran to 13 episodes so I'm going to run it over four nights beginning with a bumper feast of footwear fun as the Commandos go camping on a haunted island...
As ever, the strip was drawn by Tom Kerr... and there will be more adventures tomorrow!
