Marney the Fox
Rebellion ISBN 978-178108598-1, 5 October 2017, 229pp, £17.99 / $23.99. Available from Amazon.
Marney the Fox is a Lassie-style tale of a lone fox up against wicked humans via Watership Down and Fantastic Mr Fox.
When his mother is killed and his siblings taken by a farmer, Marney
the fox cub finds himself left all alone in the beautiful yet deadly
Devon countryside. From dodging blood-thirsty humans to encountering an
array of wild animals, Marney must rely on all of his strength and
cunning to survive. This is a brilliantly constructed and complete
story, collected for the first time, showcasing the astonishing work of
artist John Stokes and the glorious imagination of writer Scott Goodall.
Wot, no Scarlet Traces Vol2? They sneaked that out.
ReplyDeleteI'm seriously gutted about missing out on the signed Marney. A 50x run just antagonises fans.
Hi Mike,
ReplyDeleteI'm going by the official release dates, so Scarlet Traces volume two will be listed closer to 19th October. A signed Marney would have been lovely, but I imagine John Stokes was probably happy it was only that many.
