C. R. Lajeunesse

Carl Lajeunesse wrote a couple of issues of Commando in the late 1970s and sold a thriller to Robert Hale, Dead Man Running, published in 1981.

His full name was Carl Farrington R. Erlewyn-Lajeunesse, born 4 November 1930, who lived in Portsmouth, Hampshire, where he died in 2003, aged 72. He was survived by his wife, Joan, and children Michel and Suzanne.

Unfortunately, little else is known about him or his career, or whether he wrote anything else. His origins can be found in his French-Canadian name. Although born in Canada he lived for most of his life in the UK—in London in the mid-1960s and for many years in Portsmouth.

Further information would be very welcome.

  1. I knew Carl. He didn't publish anything else as far as I know. I wrote about him here: https://this-space.blogspot.com/2024/04/39-books1990.html
