Ashwell-Wood made a serious mistake with his cutaway drawing of Camden Town Station. I wrote to him at the time and he was very dismissive. The mistake is this; he labelled the Southbound tunnels the wrong way round, probably because the official Underground diagram shows the Bank Branch going off to the Left and the Charing X Branch to the right. In fact, from High Barnet, the Bank trains take the right-hand fork just beyond the platform, the Bank lines passing under the Charing X lines at right-angles a bit further along. I travelled through Camden Town station hundreds of times and one only has to look out of the train windows to see what's what.
