W. Heath Robinson's wartime inventions

Found this amongst the bosoms during my recent trek through some old copies of Mayfair.

For clarity, here's the cartoon split across two of the above pages, captioned "Capturing a thirst detatchment of blackshirts in the desert. Heath Robinson's Oasis Trap was a great deal kinder than the genuine article."
