12 November. A Kentucky library worker has been fired for her stand against having The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: The Black Dossier on the library's graphic novels shelf. Her initial attempt to challenge the book was rejected, so she effectively removed the book from circulation by checking it out herself, again and again. Meanwhile, a 2007 anthology of stories about 7th & 8th graders, Stuck In The Middle, has been removed from the student library collections at two Sioux Falls (S. Dakota) public middle schools.

Ellis's series Black Summer, published by Avatar Press in 2007, has been picked up by Vigilante Entertainment with scriptwriter Ryne Pearson attached. Summit Entertainment are already working on an adaptation of his series Red. Meanwhile, Mark Millar has announced (without too many details) that he is to direct a superhero movie next year,

3 November. Ctrl.Alt.Shift Unmasks Corruption is an upcoming anthology with contributions from Pat Mills, Bryan Talbot, Dave McKean and others, edited by Paul Gravett.
2 November. Vivien McDermid's "Paint" is the winner of this year's Observer/Jonathan Cape graphic short story prize.
