Bear Alley Books

I promised an announcement last week. Here it is...

In fact, I don't need to ramble on here, I'd like to invite you all to go visit Bear Alley Books' very own blog—just follow this link and I'll show you what I've been up to since March. See you over at Bear Alley Books in a second or two...

I couldn't leave a comment on the new site, Steve, so I'll leave one here. (hopefully!)
It sounds a great project - all the best - it's reassuring that the new books will be produced by someone who cares. Too many reproductions are just shovelled out with little thought about the contents - there have been some obvious examples in recent years but I don't want to offend anyone by giving examples. Any chance of Mytek the Mighty in the future or Doomlord?

Hi Mike,

Hopefully the comments feature is now working on the site; it works a little differently to this site in that the comments box appears under the article... I don't know if that has made a difference. If you find you still can't post to Bear Alley Books, perhaps you could let me know and I'll take another look.

As for your suggestions: Mytek is one I definitely want to do. Doomlord... there was a reprint a couple of years ago and it's possible that the rights are tied up. I'll have to ask.

Great news Steve! No doubt you'll be flooded with suggestions but I can't help but feel that 'Return of the Stormtroopers' from Champion would make a good candidate.

The Nervs would be a great book idea by Ken Reid..

200ish of Cliff Hanger was done by Jack Edward Oliver would look great in a book..

all the best with your venture..and its great you got out of the boat!!! Taking a chance..

Steve - Is there a Johnny Future book being release by bear alley books in the near future? I have a customer that's been asking me repeatedly since last summer about this. I can't view your blogger site as it says it is invite only.

thanks

James,

The situation at the moment is that we are still in negotiation. I thought I had a cast iron deal but my low print-run/low price notion for the books failed to meet the minimum payment required by DC. But all is not lost and I'm still hopeful that something can be done and the various titles I had planned will eventually see the light of day.
